. . .her guilty pleasures, right?
The first, and probably the longest one I’ve had, is my addiction to reading People magazine. Truthfully, I should qualify: the addiction really isn’t that, I do have it under control, and I really only read the magazine when I go grocery shopping alone. Which means currently, I read it about once a month. I like to catch up on celebrity culture, and People mag gives me my fix without dishing all the trash like some other mags. I’m not alone. . .my friend Amanda (Curtis’s Wife) shares my love of this media of pop culture, so there – na na na na na na!
Second, I love crappy girl TV on Friday nights! It started in law school when I’d watch Providence. That conditioned me to have my weekly Friday night girl cry, which has continued on now with Ghost Whisperer. At least I can recognize that these girl shows will never receive cinematic acclaim. I also LOVE the American Idol summer sister show: So You Think You Can Dance, which premiered this week. More on that as the season gets started. . .
Thirdly, my friend Megan lent me her Twilight vampire series books and I got hooked. Again, I intellectually recognize that these are by no means classic literature, and they are truthfully written for a certain demographic (teen-aged girls and tired moms). I also can look past the bad acting on Moonlight to enjoy that show during its short run on Friday nights.

I love Ghost Whisperer.
Have a hard time with Moonlight – probably because of the bad acting, as you said.
Still haven’t fallen for the “Twilight” trap. We’ll see how long that lasts… eventually I’ll need something to read!
